Tips & Tricks

Several months back I was having a problem with my hair falling out and I had a rash on my head really bad, not just your normal shedding, lots of hair coming out when I would wash my hair in the shower my hair was coming out by the hand fulls( I am wishing now that I had taken some before and after photos), I was getting to wear I was afraid that soon I wasn't going to have any hair left, and the rash would itch like CRAZY!! sometime  the rash would get really bad and would crack and bleed :( no fun :(
So I started to do some research and I found where a lot of people who's hair was falling out it was a reaction to their shampoos and conditioners or at least to what was in them.  They all had found that once they switched over to this method that I going to tell you about, that their hair started to grow back, either to the way it was or more than what they had, had before.  Now that I am using this method that I am going to tell you about, my hair is now longer than I have ever been able to keep it without looking to scraggly, thin, and messy all the time, the ends don't split as fast and I don't have as many fly-away hairs.  My hair even has a nice sheen to it that last from freshly grown hair, that use to fade and get dull very quickly and the rash is totally gone!!

The method that I am talking about is the vinegar and baking soda method.  I will stress for the first month (they say it is different for each person) I wasn't sure if it was going to work, because my hair was getting more and more greasy each time I would wash it, and I was having to use more and more baking soda just to soak up the oils from my head, but they said to hang in there that this was called the detox stage and that it would pass.  I had seen where it took one lady almost 6 months before she made it through the detox stage, she said she almost gave up because of how long it was taking, but she said she is now glad she hung in there. Well so I hung in there and after almost 2 months it passed and I don't have to use hardly any baking soda and just a little bit of vinegar.

When I first start by washing my hair with baking soda, I use between a 1 -3 tablespoons depending on how greasy my hair is, I also will add 1 -3 drops of my favorite essential oils. I use vinegar as my conditioner.  I use a ratio 1 part vinegar to 1 part water.  The amount of vinegar you use is depending on how long and thick your hair is.  I have found now that I have to use a little more vinegar than I use to, because of how long it is getting. A lot of people don't like the smell of vinegar, if you don't like the smell of the vinegar, you can add a drop or 2 of your favorite essential oils to help with the scent, although the vinegar smell will dissipate fairly quickly after washing even without the essential oils added.

Tip: When washing my hair with the baking soda and vinegar, I put my head upside down and work from the back of my neck to roots, forward to the front of my head and I find that I don't have to use as much baking soda and vinegar that way and it seems to stimulate the blood flow to my head and help with faster hair growth.

sorry for all the rambling, but I wanted to share my story with you all, and hope it helps someone with the same problem I was having.
